Non-coding RNAs in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma: New approaches for better diagnosis and therapy

چکیده
Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is one of the most aggressive malignancies with a 5-year survival rate less than 8%, which has remained unchanged over last 50 years. Early detection particularly difficult due to lack disease-specific symptoms and reliable biomarker. Multimodality treatment including chemotherapy, radiotherapy (used sparingly) surgery become standard care for patients PDAC. Carbohydrate antigen 19–9 (CA 19–9) common diagnostic biomarker; however, it not specific enough especially asymptomatic patients. Non-coding RNAs are often deregulated in human shown be involved cancer-related mechanisms such as cell growth, differentiation, death. Several micro, long non-coding circular have been reported date Aim this review discuss roles functions diagnosis treatments

Microarray expression profile analysis of long non-coding RNAs in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.
Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) is a variety of the human transcriptome that does not code for proteins and plays an important role in the development and progression of multiple solid malignant tumors. However, the roles of lncRNAs in the development of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) remain unknown. In this study, we investigated the expression patterns of lncRNAs in three PDAC tumor sam...
متن کاملKRAS-related noncoding RNAs in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma
Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a lethal disease with a poor overall prognosis. However, curative resection during the early stages of the disease can greatly improve survival rates, highlighting the importance of early screening and detection. Studies of noncoding RNAs, primarily microRNAs (miRNAs) and long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs), provide important insights into strategies for the...
متن کاملThe Role of Long Non-Coding RNAs in Ovarian Cancer
Background: Ovarian cancer is the most fatal tumor of female's reproductive system, and several genetics and environmental factors are involved in its development. Various studies have already identified suitable biomarkers to facilitate the early detection, prognosis evaluation, and the assessment of treatment response. However, the aim of this review was to investigate the role of long non-co...
متن کاملMicroarray Analysis of the Expression Profile of Long Non-Coding RNAs Indicates lncRNA RP11-263F15.1 as a Biomarker for Diagnosis and Prognostic Prediction of Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma
Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a devastating malignancy with poor prognostic outcomes. Accumulating evidence has demonstrated that long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) play an important role in the development and progression of carcinogenesis. Nevertheless, little is known about the role of lncRNAs in PDAC. The aim of the current study was to find differentially expressed lncRNAs and rel...
متن کاملLong non-coding RNAs and their significance in human diseases
Protein-coding genes account for only a small fraction of the human genome and most of the genomic sequences are transcriptionally silent, but recent observations indicate significant functional elements, including non-coding protein transcripts in the human genome. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been defined as transcripts of >200 nucleotides without protein-coding capacity that perform t...
